AI Addendum
This AI Addendum (“Addendum”) contains additional terms that apply to your use of AI features in the document sharing cloud solution known as Litigation Ready (“Service”). These terms are added to the terms contained in the Litigation Ready End User Agreement located at: https://www.litigationready.co.uk/end-user-agreement/ or contained in a signed written agreement with us regarding your use of the Service (“Agreement”).
This Addendum applies if you or your organisation either (a) electronically agrees to these terms when you request to use the AI features of the Service; or (b) agrees to this Addendum in writing. If you or your organisation do not agree to this Addendum, you have no right to use the AI features of the Service.
At present, there are no additional charges may apply for the use of the AI features of the Service. We may change this in the future and reserve the right to charge for the AI features of the Service. Before doing so, we will give you reasonable notice and obtain your consent.
AI FEATURES
- We may add artificial intelligence (AI) features to the Service.
- The AI features in the Service may include, for example, functionality that assists Users in automating certain tasks such as document classification, document naming, chronology generation, and responding to queries about Content.
- You are not required to use AI features to use the Service.
- Use of AI features in the Service is subject to your acceptance of this Addendum as an amendment to your Agreement with us. Acceptance of this Addendum will apply to all current and future use of AI features of the Service and all future use cases, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We may add to, discontinue, withdraw or modify the AI features in the Service.
- We have a Responsible Use of AI Policy, located at link, that sets out our policy regarding AI.
AI TECHNOLOGY
- The AI features to the Service may be provided by third party AI providers.
- Such third party AI providers may require agreement to additional legal terms provided by such providers. If so, we will provide you with notice of such terms and allow you to accept (or not accept) such terms before you use the relevant AI features of that AI provider. Acceptance of such additional legal terms will be a condition of access to such AI functionality.
- Where the Service introduces new AI functionality, you will be notified, and you may be required to accept the updated legal terms either upon your next login or prior to first use of the new AI functionality. Acceptance such additional legal terms will be a condition of access to such new AI functionality.
USE OF CONTENT
- We will not use any of your Content to train, improve, or develop AI models, whether our own or those of any AI provider, without your express prior written consent.
- We will not disclose your Content to any AI provider except as necessary to provide the AI features to the Service and only in accordance with this Agreement and our privacy policy.
- Where you use the AI features to the Service, we will process your Content in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable Privacy Laws.
- The AI features of the Service that are provided by third party AI providers are currently hosted in Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore and the United States. We endeavour to use AI hosted in the country in which the Service is provided, but we cannot guarantee this.
- You will not use the AI features to the Service to process, upload, or analyse any Content unless you have all necessary rights, consents, and authorisations to do so, including any required consents from your clients and any relevant individuals.
ACCURACY AND RELIABILITY
- The use of AI features is optional. You can use the Service without using AI features.
- You acknowledge that AI may not always be reliable and accurate. An AI system can learn and change over time, altering its performance.
- We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any output generated by the AI features to the Service, and you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all such output before relying on it.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- We do not claim ownership of any output of the AI features to the Service that is created using your Content.
- Any output of the AI features to the Service that is created using your Content will be deemed to be “Content” under this Agreement.
APPROPRIATE USE OF AI
- You must not use the AI features of the Service for inappropriate or illegal activities, such as to invade privacy, real-time facial recognition, generating deepfakes, social engineering attacks, misinformation or fake news, hacking, blackmail or to discriminate against certain groups.
